Hotel Elysium is a landmark and gathering place in downtown Ely, Minnesota. Rooted in history and remastered as a modern boutique hotel, we offer thoughtfully designed spaces where nature, nostalgia, music, and design converge—inviting guests to relax, connect, and explore northern Minnesota.
Established in 1938 and remastered in 2026, the building was originally Ely’s Community Center. Built with Public Works Administration support, it housed civic spaces and became the heart of social life, reflecting the pride, resilience, and Art Deco Moderne architecture of early Ely.
